Autonomy for Film and Television Institute of India Proposed
If things fall in place, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune might get the status of an independent university. The proposal for the same was given by the Group of Experts (GoE) appointed by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Film maker and founder director of the National Film Archive of INDIA (NFAI), Mr. Nair said, that the recommendations would be submitted to the FTII governing council on June 28 and the experts will push for an independent status to the institute.
