The cause of Petrol Price Hike

Petrol prices have shown a steady hike in India whereas in the international market crude oil prices have shown a decline.

What is the cause of this unjustified hike in petrol price?

IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) is to be blamed for this. They have benn steadily increasing the salaries and perks for its officers and are meeting the expenses by increasing the price of petrol. Government should take serious action to stop an end to this brutal situation. It is even worse to hear that the fuel for aeroplane is much cheaper than petrol for road run vehicles now!

Instead of rising the petrol price, the basic causes resulting in the situation must be studied and suitable measures must be initiated urgently. Exploring oil mining possibilities in India is a need of the time.

The unwanted unnecessary subsidies provided to some corporates can be avoided to subsidize fuel prices
