How was KVS Exam for Principals ?
KVS conducted its recruitment tests for the post of Principal and AO.
The test for Principal consisted of 2 papers – one MCQ type and the other was descriptive type.
The aspirants for the Principal posts are eagerly waiting for the details of the exam so that they can appear for the test next time.

Syllabus for KVS Principal Test
This time the syllabus was different from the syllabus published by KVS at the site under the head “Syllabus”. This test had a slightly different syllabus and was published along with this years information brochure for the test.
This year the application was online and the fees for the test was raised to Rs. 1230.
About 8000 candidtaes were called for the test and about 6500 candidates wrote the test.
It is expected that it will take about 2-3 months for the result of the test get published. Then the candidates will have to appear for the interview too. The final rank list will be drawn based on the combined performance in the DESCRIPTIVE TEST AND THE INTERVIEW.
The important point to note is that the descriptive paper will be evaluated only if the candidate scores a minimum prescribed marks in the MCQ tests.

More Students Opting for Courses in Languages
This year Delhi University is witnessing a rise in students opting for Languages. According to colleges, there is an increase in the number of students opting for language courses compared to last year. College authorities said that they usually admit students in languages after the release of third cut-off list. Students are taking admissions into Arabic, Bengali, Persian, Sanskrit and Urdu.
Community Colleges-A Good Option in Education
While the fight is on for admissions into some of the best colleges, there are some youngsters who are opting for community colleges. Community colleges are a new concept which is liked by lot of people in India. A community college primarily offers vocational education, diploma and certificate level courses. The first community college in India was founded as recently as 1995, in Pondicherry. In nearly three years, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has over two lakh students in about 600 community colleges across the Indian sub-continent.
